August Creeps Away
August 29, 2026
Yellow buses
ads for pumpkin-flavored coffee
fall clothes appear
hummingbirds hover
between the last of the petunias blossoms
savoring sweetness
I take cuttings
of the hardiest
purple and green coleus
inside to root
plant in pots by the window
readying for spring
