Boats in Harbor

April 24, 2026
Boats in Harbor Boats sit quietly - idly in the harbor Each has its own story – Happy stories of retuning safely home full to the gunnels with a successful catch Others tell of lost souls who did not make it back to port Of endless times returning home nearly empty Lamenting how the fishing grounds have been over harvested Sometimes it seems easier to sit idle in the harbor Safe from mishap Like the boats I think often of staying safe Never venturing onto rough seas But that is not how we are built The boats and I were made for the sea - whether it be stormy or calm That is where we belong That is where we must go
