All Poetry
Autumn brings whispers
Of winter, and the hills
Suddenly taciturn observe
Life quietly, gently caressed
By the breeze
I seek companionship and
The rains are in a lull
Some birds peck at my sorrow
Tranquility opens into the past
The capital city is in unrest
Student protesters are asking
Question after question
To make us uneasy even angry
And in these hills the unease
Is palpable
I measure time in minuscules
And with the history of these sedate hills
Reopening old days and visiting new
This weather brings something of winter
Mellowed sunshine is strange premonition
Of cold days, we figure realities
Speculate how cold this winter will be
And soon school will close in a feverish spirit
Of festival days
