Pearls of Hope

May you find
the wisdom
to listen with compassion
to those you care for
without judgement
without trying
to fix their problems.
Leave behind concern,
worry or disappointment
when others
have not reached out.
Open yourself
to the possibility
they may be reluctant
due to struggling
with insecurities, fears,
shyness, or depression,
not related at all
to feelings about you.
