Rooted in Your Light

May 8, 2026
You are the sun, lovely, warm, too bright to hold, a place I hide where the world gets too cold. I am the sunflower, with you I plead for time to pass slower, turning quietly wherever you go, trying to copy in my messy ways, whatever you do. You rise up, guiding through the sunlight, and I learn how to fight the endless night. You fade, gifting silent twilight, and I wait in the dark, remembering your light. You don’t know how I stretch my childishness just to feel a little more of your warmth. If you ever disappear, I don’t know which way to face. I am never meant to bloom without you. Here I stand, rooted in the love you keep in my soul, hoping one day love will bloom as stardust. Only for you mom , Those shadows I promise to overcome. Even under the light of moon , I will grow enough to bloom.
