Techy I'm Not
October 22, 2026
I avoid tech,
it's too complicated for my 83 year old brain,
even AP seems overwhelming at times,
but I engage with cell phones, my computer,
apps that demand my participation,
and people who only want to WhatsApp.
Last week I tried making airline reservations
via my cell phone, unsuccessfully, so guess I'll be staying home,
which is a relief since I would probably be picked up
by a driverless Uber, have to order food via touchscreen,
and learn how to use all the tech in the hotel room.
Today I found out my dog bought a robot
so he can be walked on demand,
I'd be upset, but now I can spend more time
trying to figure out how to use
the robovac my brother gave me.
