Your Presence

July 13, 2026
Just like a shining torch, That’s what you are to me. With just one look, You take the pain and misery away from me. A simple smile, a little laugh — That’s all it takes for me to feel okay. You don’t even need to try; Your beauty is something everyone sees. And besides being pretty, You’re interesting to so many. You’re down-to-earth, You’re funny — I know you already know that. When you’re around, The load stops feeling so heavy. I wish I was like you — A majestic angel in the blinding light, You are a calm heartbeat beneath the moonlight.

I loved this. I especially enjoyed these lines:

"The load stops feeling so heavy."
"You are a calm heartbeat beneath the moonlight."

You phrased those lines perfectly. I feel like were thinking of the exact same person. I hope to see more from you!
